Shockwave Therapy - Shockingly Effective

So, after an 8 week trial, we have treated a number of complaints ranging from Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendinopathies, Trigger Finger, Calcific Tendinitis, Tennis Elbow as well as Gluteal Tendinopathies. The results thus far have showed significant improvements across the board in all of the aforementioned conditions. It is because of this it gives me great pleasure to announce that Shockwave Therapy Is here to stay!

The introduction of Shockwave Therapy is a sign of our continued investment to provide the best available care to patients of the South Wales region. We firmly believe that all patients should be entitled to the best treatment options available alongside the best rehabilitation advice in order to achieve the best results possible.

Long term tendon pain is notoriously difficult to treat with manual therapy techniques. It will frequently involve a significant amount of rehabilitation in order to get results, however this takes time. Of course, Shockwave Therapy doesn't replace rehabilitation, and you will still require to do your prescriptive exercises, however, with the introduction of Shockwave Therapy we feel we can now confidently offer both the widest range of treatments across Neath Port Talbot, but also the most efficient treatment for the largest variety of conditions.

Below are multiple graphs showing the pain levels of a number of conditions with 4 patients who are to be kept anonymous.

The results published here are to show you just how effective this treatment modality is. Given this, it is no surprise that some places in South Wales Charge between £150 and £300 per session for this treatment. At Beaches, we know that this price scheme is unrealistic, therefore are setting our prices to be £65 a session or you can block book 6 sessions for just £350. It goes without saying though, not everybody is a suitable candidate for Shockwave Therapy and you may be required to undergo further investigations prior to the commencement of treatment. This is most likely coupled with findings from Diagnostic Ultrasound Investigations.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us regarding this. We will be exceptionally happy to answer any queries you have regarding this form of treatment.
